Athletes can now take their babies with them when going for trainings and competitions: Youth Minister

Youth Ministry makes arrangements so that national team athletes can take their babies and a guardian when they go for competitions and sports trainings.

Youth Ministry had arranged for the female National Volleyball Team athletes to take their less-than-a-year-old babies and a guardian with them to Saudi Arabia for the training camp.

Youth Minister Mahloof Tweeted on Friday that national team athletes won't be need to take a break from sports or leave their babies when they attend trainings or competitions until their children are a year old.

"The female athletes on the national volleyball team took their babies with them today. This is a happy day," Mahloof said.

The volleyball athletes are flying to Saudi to train for the Central Zone Challenge Cup. The exact date for the tournament has not been announced by Volleyball Association of Maldives.
