The Prosecutor General's Office has advised the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to revise five cases regarding the corruption of Maldives Marketing and PR Company (MMPRC).
ACC submitted these five cases for duty prosecution during the month of September.
Companies, where Eydhafushi MP Ahmed Saleem and Former Vilufushi MP Riyaz Rasheed are stakeholders, are allegedly incriminated in these cases. However, the ACC has not publicized any such details.
Senior Communication Officer at the ACC, Nishan Mohamed Didi revealed to One Online that the commission is revising certain aspects of the cases upon a request by the PGO. He further added that the PG will be informed once the revisions are completed.
ACC took over the MMPRC corruption cases after the Presidential Commission on Asset Recovery was dissolved.
