The family of Abdulla Rasheed - who died in Police custody on 25 October - has said National Integrity Commission (NIC) has refused to share details regarding the cause of death.
Abdulla Rasheed was buried on 5 November after an autopsy was conducted against the family's wishes.
Speaking to 'One', Abdulla Rasheed's widow Aminath Leena said on Monday that the family has repeatedly requested NIC to provide documentation that he received medical attention while under Police custody. She said NIC has not shared any details as of yet.
"We have requested multiple times but NIC has not responded. They have refused to share any details with us. NIC does not want to share his medical records or the autopsy results with the family," Leena said.
NIC official did not respond to 'One' when contacted for a comment. However, NIC has previously told 'One' that the autopsy result will be shared with the family before anyone else, and that the report will be released to media if the family consents.
