Maldives Parliament has given lawmakers three days to submit revisions to the proposed state budget for 2023, which has since been reviewed by the Budget Review Committee.

The Parliament Administration revealed that the window to submit revisions is open till 4:00pm on Tuesday. Hence, the administration has informed all lawmakers to submit any potential revisions to the budget within the revision window.

The Budget Review Committee added MVR 160 million to the proposed MVR 42.6 billion budget, passing the budget at MVR 42.8 billion. Following the committee's decision, their report has been submitted to the Parliament floor, where lawmakers will be given seven minutes per member to debate the budget.

Following the debate, a vote on the budget and revisions is expected to be taken on November 30th.
