Dhiraagu has launched their Reef Health Assessment Photo Competition.

Dhiraagu partnered with Tourism Ministry and Ocean Geographic Society and Maldives Alliance of Dive Operators (MADO) to support a reef health assessment photo competition to commemmorate 50 years of tourism in the Maldives.

Dhiraagu said the purpose of the competition is to serve as an yearly check of the reef health around the country. Dhiraagu said it would also be a good opportunity to showcase the underwater life in Maldives to the world.

Dhiraagu said 50 popular dive sites have been selected for the photo competition and participants can submit photos from more than one site. Participants must submit a portfolio with at least 5 photos from every site they take photos from, Dhiraagu said.

The photos will be judged by an international panel who will select first, second, and third from each site as well as honourable mentions.

All participants will receive a contribution of achievement certificate for participating in the photo competition, Dhiraagu said.

Dhiraagu added that the photo competition will go on until 15 December 2022.
