Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said the AA. Maalhos Harbour Development Project is well underway.

MTCC said the quay wall concrete works and the construction of the groyne are currently ongoing with 78% and 50% completion respectively.

Scope of works for the project involve dredging and excavation operations of 24,335cbm, construction of a 394m quay wall, a 407m breakwater, a 100m revetment, a 56m groyne, installation of 1970sqm harbour pavement, and construction of a ramp and installation of harbo8r lights.

The project is valued at MVR 56.9 million.
