Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that the breakwater construction for Lh. Kurendhoo Shore Protection Project has reached 86% completion.

MTCC said the beach filling works are currently ongoing at the site.

Scope of work for the project include 91,000cbm beach filling, construction of a 361m breakwater, and a 822m revetment.

The project is valued at MVR 44.8 million.
