PPM-PNC coalition has expressed concern over the promotion of specific candidates ahead of the PPM-PNC coalition's internal elections.

PPM-PNC coalition released a statement on Friday night, stating that the coalition leadership does not support promoting specific candidates ahead of elections.

"The coalition and coalition leadership do not accept promoting specific on Channel 13 Madiseela program," PPM said.

PPM added that PPM-PNC coalition leadership will not promote specific candidates ahead of the election.

PPM had on Thursday night has accused former PPM council member Nahula Ali, who has been removed from PPM membership, of trying to sabotage the internal elections. PPM added that Nahula has been spreading misinformation regarding the party and leader Yameen Abdul Gayoom's stand on the election.
