Civil Court has ordered the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) to pay MVR 1.7 million to ADK Hospital.

ADK Hospital is seeking MVR 1.7 million in a one-time payment from FAM after the association failed to provide the payments for services requested by the association from the hospital. As per the hospital, as of 5th February 2022, the association owes the hospital MVR 1.7 million over 15 unpaid invoices.

In response to the case, FAM stated that it was a difficult time to settle the payment fully. They had requested the court for an order where they are allowed to repay the amount in installments over a 12-month period. However, since ADK did not agree to this they were not able to agree on a date of payment.

The verdict by Civil Court noted that it is indeed money owed by the association to the hospital, and had ordered FAM to pay MVR 1.7 million to ADK within a month.
