The proposed state budget for the year 2023 will be submitted to the Parliament tomorrow.

Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer will be submitting the proposed budget during the parliament session tomorrow.

Sources claim that the state is expected to submit an estimated budget of a whopping MVR 41 billion for the year 2023. This is an increase of MVR 4 billion from the current year's budget, where the state had submitted an estimated budget of MVR 36.9 billion.

However the budget committee increased some aspects of the budget and moved to pass MVR 36.99 billion as the state budget.
