The Parliamentary State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Committee has reviewed the motion submitted to appoint Mohamed Firaz as the Vice President of the Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) and decided to approve his name.

During the review process, the Committee summoned Firaz and interviewed him for further research.

Following the interview, all 14 members of the committee who were present during the meeting had voted to approve Firaz unanimously.

PCB was established under the Law of Privatisation, Corporatisation, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Government Businesses. The PCB is tasked to carry out privatisation, corporatisation, monitoring, evaluation, and selling of public shares from government companies, government shareholding companies, and commercial government business enterprises, and all procedures relating to such activities.

PCB consists of seven-members filling a four-year term.
