Former State Minister Imad Solih has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the National Drug Agency (NDA).
Imad Solih has been appointed to the agency after former CEO Mohamed Habeeb resigned in May 2021. The role had been left vacant for over a year.
NDA noted that they had revised the qualifications and requirements for the role, as they had not received reasonable support for the role when job vacancies were announced earlier. They further noted that the salary and allowances were also revised via the pay commission.
The agency further added that Imad will take over the role and responsibilities starting November 1st. He had previously worked as a State Minister at the Education Ministry, as well as a member of parliament.
