Bank of Maldives has entered into an agreement with the Maldives Surfing Association (MSA) to become the Official Sponsor of all national surf teams.

The bank noted that the partnership was part of their commitment to support the development of sports in the country. Under the partnership, BML will also support the annual National Junior Surfing Championship organized by MSA, to promote the development of young talent in the sport.

"We are tremendously proud to partner with Maldives Surfing Association through our BML Islamic arm. Like many, we continue to be impressed by the talent of local surfers. Through this partnership, we hope to make a real difference in promoting the sport and supporting young athletes to achieve their professional dreams," BML’s In-charge and Acting MD Aishath Noordeen said.

Bank of Maldives highlighted that they will continue their investment in sports with partnerships with national associations of football, swimming and tennis. Most recently, as part of its 40th Anniversary monthly initiatives, the Bank announced its Sports Scholarship for top athletes in association with Maldives Olympic Committee.
