Bank of Maldives (BML)'s top performing employees were honoured with a series of accolades at its annual staff awards ceremony, held last night at the Social Center in Male’.

The awards were presented by the In-charge of the Bank and Acting Managing Director, Aishath Noordeen as well as members of the Bank’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

“I congratulate all the winners tonight and express my deep appreciation to all our staff for their immense contribution and commitment. As we look forward to celebrating our 40th anniversary next month, it is wonderful to recognize and appreciate our staff who are behind the Bank’s growth and success over the years," she said, speaking during the ceremony.

Hassan Aqleem, North Cluster Manager and Mohamed Ashraf, Head of People Development won the coveted Employee of the Year Award. Fathimath Farihath Waheed, Head of Cards & Payment Governance, Abdulla Sobah, Senior Manager, Premium Banking, and BML Mobile App Team were the recipients of the CEO’s Award for Outstanding Achievement. Mohamed Saeed, Public Relations Manager received the Best Leader Award and Ali Zaid Mohamed, Compliance Manager, received the Best Manager Award.

Awards for staff and teams who excelled over the past year were also presented in the ceremony in various categories including Best Atoll Branch, Best Team, Best Atoll Employee, Customer Service Star, and Award for Innovation.

BML noted that the Staff Awards represent one component of their focused human resources strategy. The Bank has received the prestigious “Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award” for the fourth consecutive year affirming the organization’s progress towards being one of the best and most professional places to work in the region.
