Gender Ministry has stated that the Ministry receives multiple cases seeking assistance and care for the elderly and disabled people.

As per the statistics published by Gender Ministry on Wednesday, the Ministry received 33 cases seeking assistance for elderly and disabled people - an increase of 14 cases compared to the previous month.

Gender Ministry also revealed that they received and attended 248 cases in August, with the majority of the cases being related to minors. As such, Gender Ministry received 100 cases regarding child abuse; a majority of which were neglect cases.

Gender Ministry received 33 cases of child neglect, 24 cases of sexual assault, 15 cases of physical abuse, 11 cases of domestic violence in front of a child, as well as psychological abuse, bullying, and blackmail cases.

The Ministry also received 41 cases of abuse towards a specific gender in August - a majority of which were physical abuse cases. The Ministry also received 12 cases of self harm in August as well.
