Maldives Meteorology (MET) has revealed that the country will be experiencing rainstorms and rough seas over the course of the next three days.
MET had previously stated that the country is currently experiencing the 'Hulhangu' monsoon rains, which are expected to slow down by the month of November.
An official at MET revealed to One Online today that the next three days will see rainstorms and rough seas across the country, with winds expected to surge to 40 mph during storms.
The official further added that Thursday and Friday will experience heavy rains, especially in the Central and Northern Atolls. They further added that the weather conditions will begin to improve starting Sunday, though Western Atolls are still expected to receive rainfall.
MET had also appealed to be vary of their alerts, since the number of travelers have increased over the period largely due to the school mid-term holidays.
