Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed is set to visit Washington in the United States on an official visit.

Parliament revealed that the visit will be from October 12th till October 16th, when Speaker Nasheed will attend the Annual Meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank as well as join the ninth meeting of finance ministers of The Vulnerable 20 (V20).

The Ghanaian Finance Minister Kenneth Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta, who is presiding over the meeting had extended the invitation to Speaker Nasheed to participate in the meeting.

Parliament further revealed that during the visit, Speaker Nasheed will meet with leaders from the IMF, World Bank, and the CVF.
