Ministry of Education has awarded a project to build a new school in Hulhumale Phase II.
This marks the fifth school to be built in the suburb.
The agreement was signed at a ceremony held at the education ministry. The project was awarded to a joint venture between Azrowa Maldives and Edward & Christie.
Education minister Dr Aishath Ali signed the agreement on behalf of the ministry while directors of the companies signed the agreement on behalf of the companies.
The project is valued at MVR 241.5 million and is awarded to be completed within 18 months.
The school will have 54 classrooms, a multipurpose hall, four lifts and all the resources required for a full-fledged school.
