President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih appointed Ibrahim Shaheeb as the High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to the Republic of India, and Ali Hussain Didi as the High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to Malaysia, on Monday.
President Solih presented the two High Commissioners their letters of appointment at a ceremony held at the President's Office.
Ibrahim Shaheeb, the High Commissioner to Republic of India previously served as the Chief of Protocol, and Additional Secretary, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The High Commissioner to Malaysia, Ali Hussain Didi previously served as the High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Maldivian Ambassador to the European Union and the Kingdom of Belgium. He also served as the Controller of Immigration at the Department of Immigration, the President of Male’ Municipal Council and Chief Executive Officer at the Maldives Airports Company.
