President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed have arrived in Bahrain on a state visit, at the invitation of the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, King Hamad Ibn Isa Al Khalifa.

The First Couple were greeted in Bahrain by an honour guard accorded to them by Bahrain Defence Force. The President and his delegation were received by Bahrain's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and Board Member of the Supreme Council for Women and member of the royal family, Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa.

The First Couple is scheduled to meet state dignitaries during this visit. Bahrain and Maldives will also hold bilateral talks on strengthening cooperation and sign several memoranda of understanding (MoUs).
