An aircraft of Ethiopian Airlines has crashed with 149 passengers onboard.

Officials of Ethiopian Airlines have informed that the plane had crashed shortly after takeoff. The Ethiopian Airlines aircraft had been enroute to Nairobi, Kenya from Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa.

The officials revealed that the Boeing 737 aircraft was carrying 149 passengers and 8 crew members.

While rescue operations have commenced, it has been reported that there are no survivors.
