Maldives Bureau of Statistics has revealed that the Census 2022 preliminary results will be published on the date previously set for permanent results, instead of October 6th (Thursday).
The Bureau revealed the reasoning behind the change in dates as they want to further complete Census in the Greater Malé Region. They added that the permanent results will now be published on October 20th.
While Census has been wrapped up across the country, the Bureau noted that data was still pending from 900 places in the Malé region. The team is currently focusing on reaching out to those places and residents.
They further added that it is important for residents, labor quarters, employees at registered businesses, and employers to support the Census work, and urged them to call and inform 1423 or 3008400 if their data has not been collected yet.
