Transport Ministry has cancelled the registrations of 50 vehicles that were registered unlawfully.

Transport Ministry announced on Monday that the ministry has cancelled registrations for 50 vehicles that were either registered to Male' zone unlawfully or registered after the registration period has passed.

The ministry also publicised the number plates of these vehicles.

While Transport Ministry has cancelled registrations of some vehicles, Maldives Police Service had also previously stated that they would take action against vehicles if the number plates did not fit the requirements.
