Prosecutor General (PG)’ Office has said Bangladesh resident Alamghir will be sentenced to 27 days for each of the 40 charges brought up against him.
PG Office said on Sunday that Alamghir had confessed to all 40 charges during the hearing at Criminal Court on Saturday. As such, next hearing would be to determine his sentence, PG Office said.
Alamghir’s sentencing would be on 28 September, and he will be sentenced for 27 days in prison for each charge, PG Office said.
PG Office media official, Public Prosecutor Shafeeu Ahmed told ‘One’ on Sunday that the sentence for producing pornography is 1 month and six days. However, based on his confession, he will receive a 27-day sentence for each of the 40 charges against him.
Alamghir is currently serving a prison sentence for homosexuality after he confessed in court.
