Maldives Transport an d Construction Company (MTCC) has decided to provide the Mini Bus service in Male' City under the "Raajje Transport Link (RTL)" free of charge for two more weeks.

The bus service introduced in Male' City began with a two-week period of free bus rides. The period would be over by 19th September, after which patrons were to be charged MVR 7 per ride.

However, in a Press Release issued on Sunday, the company revealed that they have decided to keep the service free of charge for two more weeks. With this, bus rides within the city will remain free until 3rd October.

Once the period is over, ticketing could be purchased online via the RTL website or the mobile application. however, the bus rides are free for toddlers under the age of 3, senior citizens, and students in school uniforms along with people with disabilities.

MTCC will operate 18 mini buses in Male' City which come with a total of 20 seats each including wheelchair spots. The mini buses will also have a 10-pax capacity for standing passengers.
