Alia Investment has partnered with Japan's Technical Academy and commenced a Yamaha Technical Training programme in the Maldives.

The Yamaha Technical Training is a bronze level training provided by Japan's Technical Academy to Yamaha distributors.

The training will be ongoing until 29 September with 18 mechanics partaking from various fields and private companies. The theory and practical sessions are carried out by Yamaha certified senior mechanics team with years of expertise.

Alia said the aim of the training is to enable better servicing for Yamaha outboard engines. Alia noted that over the past 48 years of partnership between Alia and Yamaha, multiple people have partook in various trainings conducted by them.

Alia said the company hopes to create more training opportunities in the Maldives for as many mechanics as possible. Alia said the company will be providing more trainings in the future as well.
