State Trading Organisation (STO) has begun powering their medical and staple food godowns with solar energy as part of their green initiative.

STO launched their pilot project for renewable energy in July 2022.

STO has successfully completed the installation of solar panels in their staple food godown, using solar energy to power the godown. Additionally, STO is also powering their medical godown through solar as well.

In their bid to make the godown more environment friendly, STO uses battery-powered forklifts in their godown.

STO said the company is working towards carbon neutrality. As such, STO will be initiating more solar power projects in the future.
