Addu City has been marketed as a separate tourist destination at an international tourism fair, in a first in the Maldives.

A destination stand representing Addu City was set up at "OTM Travel Trade Show" ongoing in Mumbai, India, since Tuesday this week.

South Palm Resort, Canareef, Trip Wave, Sounds by 3S, and Gan International Airport partook in the fair to represent Addu City as a travel destination.

Addu City is being marketed at "OTM Travel Trade Show" as an equatorial gem connected to the world via Sri Lankan Airlines.

South Palm Resort and Canareef are back in operation after closing down due to Covid-19.
