Maldives drivers license will now be accepted in Malaysia.

Transport Ministry made the announcement on Twitter on Tuesday that the Maldives driver's license will be accepted in Malaysia from Monday.

The agreement to accept Maldives drivers license was signed on 12 August 2022.

Speaking from Malaysia, Minister Nahula told 'One' after the signing ceremony that this new arrangement will provide a lot of ease to Maldivians residing in and traveling to Malaysia.

Minister Nahula added that the Malaysian drivers license will also be accepted in Maldives. She noted that this is a step forward in building the diplomatic ties between the two nations.
