Road Development Corporation (RDC) has closed off a section of Ameenee Magu for road development and asphalt works.
RDC tweeted on Monday that Ameenee Magu has been closed off from the Ameenee Magu - Boduthakurufaanu Magu junction to Ameenee Magu - Irudheyma Hingun junction for asphalt work.
Planning Ministry awarded the road development project to RDC on 3 June 2022 to be completed in 210 days. The project is valued at MVR 84 million.
The road development project kicked off on 30 August.
RDC's Managing Director, Ali Manik stated that the Company is working on completing the asphalt works on Ameenee Magu within seven months.
He added that the asphalt works will be completed with ease of access to wheelchairs and braille blocks. He assured that the asphalt work will not interfere with the electricity, water, and network cables on Ameenee Magu.
