Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the recipients of the Housing Grant announced earlier in 2022 as part of its 40th Anniversary monthly initiatives.

BML will fund the building and furnishing of houses for three vulnerable families across the country through the Housing Grant. BML had invited Local Councils and NGO's to apply for the grant and selected the recipients after a comprehensive evaluation process.

The recipients of the BML Housing Grant are:

  • 1. Sukoon, Sh. Funadhoo - Proposal submitted by Unity Sports Academy
  • 2. Ishaa, N. Velidhoo - Proposal submitted by Velidhoo Future Foundation
  • 3. Sunhiyaa, A.Dh. Maamigili - Proposal submitted by Falcon Youth and Recreation

“Supporting communities with initiatives such as the Housing Grant, is a main focus of our CSR strategy. I’m delighted to have the opportunity to support the most vulnerable members in our society and I’m confident our financial support to these housing projects will help generate significant positive and enduring impact for these families for years to come", BML's Acting MD Aishath Noordeen said.

BML introduced the Housing Grant as part of its series of 12 high impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate their 40th anniversary in November.
