Speaker of Parliament and leader of Jumhooree Party (JP) has said that the government manifesto had been composed through coalition party contributions. He said as such, that the majority at Parliament should be given to coalition parties.
Qasim said this while speaking at campaign launching event of Parliamentary hopeful for the West-Henveiru constituency on the JP ticket, Aishath Nazima.
The JP leader said that while the manifesto has been composed through coalition party contributions andno one party should have majority at the Parliament.
Qasim said that the consequences of violating coalition party majority at Parliament is as apparent as looking in a mirror. He said that the Maldivian people do not want to face these consequences.
He said that there will be no control once a singular power takes on the majority of the authority.
