Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has denied corruption allegations regarding the procurement of Raajje Transport Link (RTL) mini bus project.

Addressing reports by 'Dhiyares' alleging MTCC misled the public regarding the purchase of the mini buses, and that MTCC purchased diesel buses instead of electric buses, MTCC released a statement denying the corruption allegations.

MTCC statement said that the RTL mini bus service has gained great support from the public. MTCC added that the statements published in media are false and denied all corruption allegations by 'Dhiyares'.

MTCC further stated that the report by 'Dhiyares' is an attempt to tarnish MTCC image and break the public trust, and that it is an uncivilized act that goes against freedom of journalism. MTCC called the report politically motivated.
