International Maldives Travel Market (IMTM) has said the IMTM Fair 2022 is a great success.

The Fair is being held physically after a two years of virtual events due to Covid.

IMTM 2022 is the 6th edition of the initiative to promote the country's tourism industry with the most influential B2B online resources.

The IMTM 2022 had a 100 participants from 20 countries. A total of 800 participants across resorts, hotels, safari, and homestay in the Maldives tourism sector also joined in the fair.

The IMTM 2022 promotes in-bound and out-bound tourism and Maldives as a 'MICE' destination.

Speaking to 'One', Assistant Manager, Sales and Marketing of IMTM, Saba Mukhtar said that IMTM 2022 has been a great success as the first physical fair post-Covid. She added that the fair received great support from the participants and visitors.

The Fair was attended by 37 businesses from 17 countries, and a 100 companies from 15 islands spanning resort, hotel, safari, tour operators and agencies, as well as guesthouses. Over 800 meetings were booked on IMTM platform and the Fair saw over 200 visitors.

Saba added that IMTM is looking for an even more successful edition of IMTM Fair next year. The 7th edition is scheduled to be held early next year.
