Avas Ride has banned a taxi driver from their services after receiving a complaint regarding the driver harassing a passenger.

Zayan Ismail had taken to Twitter to recall the incident, where he stated that the driver "harassed and taunted" him during a ride last Monday. He further added that the driver "kept on badgering me throughout the entire ride, for my “look” and my tote bag".

Zayan had questioned Avas Ride about whether they flag such incidences and whether any action is taken against such drivers.

"I am happy to say that Avas Ride has swiftly banned the driver from all its services. I consider this a win for many.," Zayan tweeted an update on the issue.

An official at Avas Ride revealed to ONE Online that there was zero tolerance for such behaviour and the driver had since been banned from using all of their services.
