Environment Ministry has cleared 1,350 tonnes of garbage from V. Thinadhoo landfill.

The Ministry revealed that it took 8 days to clear the landfill. The project was carried out by WAMCO.

Environment Ministry said clearing the landfill in Thinadhoo is a significant step since the island is prominent for local tourism as well.

The project, valued at MVR 3.5 million, spans 8 islands in Kaafu and Vaavu atoll.
