Maldives Food and Drug Authority (MFDA) has recalled Stella brand's ice cream powder.

MFDA released a statement on Wednesday, stating that the Authority had received an alert from Europe's Rapid Alarm for Food and Feed about the use of an unregulated food colouring in the Stella ice cream powder.

MFDA has since recalled the Stella ice cream powder, ordering cease of sale and consumption of the product that has been imported to the Maldives.

MFDA has recalled multiple products in the past, citing safety and regulations.
