Maldives Meteorology (MET) has revealed that one of the highest rainfall of the year has been recorded today.
In a tweet sent out on Sunday, MET revealed that the one of the highest rainfall of the year has been recorded today, with 124.8mm of rainfall being recorded in GDh. Kaadehdhoo within the last 24 hours.
Aside from Kaadehdhoo, F. Bileiydhoo recorded the second highest rainfall within the past 24 hours with 58.2mm of rainfall.
MET also revealed that the highest recorded rainfall of the year was on 31st July, with 158.7mm of rainfall recorded in R. Alifushi.
An official of MET revealed to ONE that the weather will continue over Sunday night and through Monday. Weather conditions are expected to improve Tuesday onwards.
They have also issued a Yellow Alert from Haa Alif Atoll to Thaa Atoll.
