Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has appointed Ahmed Athif as Managing Director of HDC.

HDC made the announcement of the appointment on Sunday. Athif previously filled the role of Deputy Managing Director at HDC.

Athif was appointed as Deputy Managing Director on 6 March 2019. Athif has over a decade of experience in accounting and finance, working with Bank of Maldives and Maldives Monetary Authority in the public sector. Prior to his appointment at HDC, Athif was working as a registered auditor and tax agent in the private sector.

Athif's appointment comes after the retirement of the former Managing Director of HDC, Suhail Ahmed.
