Tourism Ministry of Maldives has opened nomination submission for 'President's Tourism Gold Award' on the occasion of 50 years of tourism in the Maldives.

Nominations have been opened in 25 categories across the tourism sector to celebrate services to the industry.

'President's Tourism Gold Awards' categories include:

  • Tourism Human Resources Development

  • Excellence in CSR Resort

  • Excellence in CSR Guesthouse
  • Environmental Sustainability Resort
  • Environmental Sustainability Hotel
  • Environmental Sustainability Safari
  • Environmental Sustainability Guesthouse
  • Best Tourism Transport Service
  • Best Dive Centre - Resort
  • Best Dive Centre - Local Island
  • Water Sports Centre - Resort

Tourism Ministry has been organising multiple events to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of tourism in the Maldives. As such, the Ministry has also begun collecting data on people who have served the industry for more than 30 years.
