Male' City's mini bus ticket prices have been set at MVR 7 by the Administration.

The Administration on Thursday made the announcement via a video on Twitter, sharing information about the mini bus service. The mini bus service is conducted by Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has part of the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) project.

Twelve mini buses will be in operation in Male' City, with 20 wheelchair spots at all times. Mini buses will operate every 10 minutes.

Mini bus charges will be free for toddlers under the age of three years, elderly citizens, and school children in uniform.

MTCC began test driving mini buses on 20 August 2022, with test drives set to run for two weeks before officially commencing.

MTCC has not yet announced an official date to begin the service. However, mini bus routes have been finalised by MTCC together with Male' City Council.

Mini buses will operate on Majeedhee Magu, Ameenee Magu, Orchid Magu, and Bodu Thakurufaanu Magu, with 18 stops on each road.

RTL project is a presidential pledge of the current Administration.

MTCC has also begun high-speed ferry services in atolls as part of the RTL project.
