Maldives Police Service has revealed that they have arrested a Maldivian in a Male' City shop for selling alcohol and drugs.

Police further revealed that the 45-year-old Maldivian was arrested in a special operation last Tuesday by their Drug Enforcement Depart and Intelligence Unit based on intel received.

During this operation, 49 bottles of alcohol, two bottles suspected of alcohol, two rubber packets with party drugs and a can suspected of drugs were confiscated.

Police added that the court had ordered to remand the individual for a period of five days.
