Mohamed Asif (Mondhu) has resigned from the board of state media, Public Service Media (PSM).

Mondhu was appointed to the board of PSM last November. He had confirmed his resignation to ONE Online on Thursday.

ONE has learned that Mondhu is set to join the team at Sun Media Group, owned by leader of Maldives Development Alliance (MDA), Ahmed Shiyam.

While his decision to join Sun Media Group has made headlines, the media group had been trying to restart Sun TV which has been on a long-term hiatus.
