Minister of Education, Dr. Aishath Ali has revealed that the Kamil Didi Primary School in Hulhumale' Phase II will open next Sunday with a total of 824 students.
Answering questions by Hulhumale' MP Ali Niyaz during Wednesday's parliament sitting, the Minister noted that a high number of requests are being received to join the schools in Hulhumale'. She noted that necessary arrangements are being made to meet the demand, and highlighted that the Jameel Didi Pre-School will open in September.
She further added that the Kamil Didi Primary School will be opening next Sunday with 824 students.
The Minister also revealed that the Salahuddin School with a capacity of 1,200 students along with an unnamed school of a similar capacity is currently being developed in Phase II. In addition to this, the 800 student capacity Ajilal Bilingual School and the 1,100 student capacity new building for CHSE is also ongoing.
Until the opening of Kamil Didi Primary Schools, students are studying in Rehendhi, Ghaazee and Huravee School in Phase I.
