Maldives Police Service (MPS) has said that no explosives were found in the luggage detained at Velana International Airport (VIA).

MPS conducted an operation on Sunday after reports of a suspicious luggage left at VIA. MPS found a button camera on one of the shirts in the luggage, and have since arrested two foreigners.

Criminal Court on Monday ordered the foreigners to be remanded for six days.
