Criminal Court of Maldives has set a 10-day remand period for the two foreigners arrested at Velana International Airport (VIA) on Sunday for possession of a spy camera.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) said on Monday that MPS had carried out an operation at VIA on Sunday after receiving intel over suspicious luggage.

MPS found a button camera on one of the shirts in the luggage and arrested two foreigners in relation to the luggage.

MPS did not provide further details as investigations are currently ongoing.
