Regional Director of Regional Airports Company Ltd and Vice President of Maldives Trade Union, Saudhullah Ahmed has said the Privatisation and Corporatization Board (PCB) needs

to hold State-owned Enterprises (SoE) Boards accountable to combat corruption.

Saudhullah made the remarks on Twitter on Monday, stating that corruption exists in every nation across the globe, but that the developed nations are combating corruption through effective measures.

He added that some countries have proven successful in combating corruption within the Administration.

"Combating corruption will be more effective if the measures put forth by Finance Minister Ameer are enforced. PCB needs to hold SoE Boards accountable", Saudhullah said.

The current Administration has launched a zero tolerance policy for corruption to increase transparency within the Administration to combat corruption.
