Residents of Meemu atoll Raiymandhoo has given President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih a warm welcome upon his arrival to the island on Saturday.

President Solih is currently on an official visit to five islands in the Meemu Atoll where he would visit Raiymandhoo, Maduvvari, Dhiggaru, Veyvah, and Muli.

Local residents of the island had gathered near the jetty to welcome the President, where a traditional item was also performed by the men.

During his visit, the President is scheduled to meet with the Women's Development Committee and the Island Council and will also visit government institutions and the local residents of the island.

The next stop on the President's itinerary will be Maduvvari. He is scheduled to conclude his trip on Monday.
