Maldives Police Service (MPS) has rescued a man who jumped into the sea near the Male' swimming track.

MPS said they received reports of a man jumping into the sea around 1600hrs, following which Marine Police rescued the man.

MPS added that the man in question is a Maldivian and is currently undergoing medical treatment at IGMH.

The incident is currently under investigation.
