Maldives Meteorology (MET) has predicted bad weather across Maldives and advised caution over sea transportation during the weekend.

Speaking to 'One', an official at MET said thunderstorms and rough seas are expected across Maldives over the next 48 hours.

MET has also issued a white alert from HA to Th. Atoll and from K to Addu City as a precaution.

National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has advised precaution owing to the risk of flooding from heavy rainfall.

NDMA also advised caution during sea transportation.
